Being lukewarm is a dangerous path to be on.
Christians must either be on fire for Jesus Christ or cold. Being lukewarm is pretty much staying in the middle, compromising/affirming sinful behavior, we must preach against sin. I love You, Jesus!
People who have lukewarm faith that are still on the fence about Jesus have their mindset still on their flesh, the things of this world and not wanting to be separated from it as Jesus says that we mustn’t be of the world because He chose us out of it. People that are lukewarm want their sin but not wanting the consequences for the sins they commit/practice, they also want Jesus but having no passion for Him. Ultimately, Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.” If we truly want to go after Jesus having the passion and zeal for Him, we must be willing to give up our earthly desires, deny ourselves, pick up our crosses daily, and follow Him. If only lukewarm people and unbelievers saw that God loves us all and cares for us so very much more than the world does. Being of the world, unbelievers and people who claim to be “Christian” but don’t show any fruit, they get tempted so easily, going along with everything like it’s a good thing, affirming sinful behavior, acting like nothing bothers them, rejecting Jesus/His words and what the Bible says is a dangerous game the disbelief/lukewarm faith has on Biblical Christianity. Romans 8:7-8 says, “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.” The “Christians” who are lukewarm will never be pleasing to God because they’ll always try to fit in with the crowds affirming sinful lifestyles and never proclaiming the truth with love/humility, they only want the things on the earth and not anything in heaven and try to make a difference by being popular but in all reality none of those things matter. Christians aren’t called to be nice, positive or popular, we’re called to be Biblical.
Thank You, King Jesus, for choosing those of us who are fearless about sharing our faith in You and having no fear about what the world does to us when we proclaim the truth/share Your gospel and having people revile us, mock us, call us horrible names or even persecute us. It’s an amazing feeling to have no more fear, thank You, King Jesus. I give You all my praise, all the glory, gratitude and all the honor for everything You do for us every single day. I love You, King Jesus, very much!
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. - 2 Timothy 4:3-4.
For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden underfoot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith He was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? For we know Him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto Me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge His people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. - Hebrews 10:26-31.
They profess that they know God; but in works they deny Him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. - Titus 1:16.
Heavenly Father, I pray for the people who are lukewarm and unbelievers that they realize and understand that we who love Jesus, hungering and thirsting for Your righteousness, that in the Beatitudes being a child of Your Kingdom that Jesus preached will be hated by the world, as the mockers/scoffers mock, laugh, revile, call names, persecute and they say evil things against us falsely for Jesus’ sake when we proclaim everything that Your Word says, those who truly want to follow Jesus will have all these things happen to us and lukewarm people who are not hated by the world, mocked, persecuted, and reviled are not proclaiming the whole truth of the Bible and not sharing the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ, Father. I pray for them that we must be willing to preach the truth and be hated by the world if we want to be a true follower of Jesus, when we deny ourselves, take up our crosses daily, and follow Him, Father. The people who have lukewarm faith just stay in the middle, they don’t go anywhere, they compromise, they follow the world when we’re not meant to love the world nor the things in the world, they’re tolerable, they seem like they don’t want to hear the whole truth nor even tell unbelievers the truth, they won’t even confront sinful behavior when in 2 Timothy 4:2, that we’re meant to reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine, Father. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 says, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” I pray for everyone to understand that the people with lukewarm faith don’t want to hear the glorious gospel of Christ, they believe that the true Christians filled with the Holy Spirit are preaching hate and not love, they believe that preaching on the lake of fire, Your judgment and Your wrath is hateful and not loving, this is what is happening in the charismatic churches, teaching on another gospel but there’s only one gospel that Jesus preached. Hell is our default destination, that’s why if we don’t put our trust in and faith in Your only begotten Son, and our resurrected Lord Jesus Christ but continue in blatant sin, then people will be in the lake of fire, which neither You nor I want for anyone, Father. Preaching the truth of Your Word, we will be hated by the world system, and we will be reviled and persecuted, those who never preach the truth will be loved by the world system. Jesus says in John 15:20-21, “Remember the word that I said to you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept My saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for My name’s sake, because they know not Him that sent Me.” Persecution will come when we live godly in Christ Jesus, we don’t go along with the things of the world, and the celebration of sin which we cannot ever compromise with or affirm, we will always preach the truth and there will be hostility and persecution when we do, so we must be prepared when we are a true follower of Jesus Christ, it won’t be easy, it’s a war when we live for You, Father. So, we must not go on knowing the truth and blatantly sin in the progress and in order to be truly saved and have Your free gift of everlasting life, unbelievers and lukewarm people must confess with their mouths that Jesus Christ is Lord, believe in their heart that You have raised Him from the dead, repent, (turn away from their sin) believe that Jesus died on the cross to pay the atonement for their sins, surrender their whole lives to You and follow Your Commandments. Jesus said that persecution is a must when we live out our lives for Him, it’s time to make a decision now, either follow the world or follow Jesus, there’s no middle ground anymore, this world is headed for the seven-year Tribulation period. We love You very much, Father, and we give You all praise, glory, honor and gratitude for everything. It’s in the Mighty Name of our Lord Jesus, that I pray. Amen. Please know the Lord Jesus Christ today, time is running out and tomorrow is not promised at all for any one of us. As we wake up every morning, that’s a blessing from God, give Him glory and praise when we have breath in our lungs. Read/study the Bible daily. God Bless everyone!
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. - Matthew 5:10-12.
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. - 1 Corinthians 1:18.
