False religion that is Gnosticism.

The "Gnostic" religion got their sources from Christianity. Another religion that twists Scripture to suit their own desires and narrative, which all man-made religion does.

• This post is inspired by John MacArthur’s book called “The Truth War.”

The Gnostics believe that:

1. Salvation is achieved by truly knowing oneself and that it is found within.

2. Matter is bad, but spirit is good.

3. Our Creator is evil or (at best) ignorant.

4. The God of the Old Testament is not the God of the New Testament.

5. Of everything the “new age movement” and “mysticism” believe as well.

6. This “demiurge” who they believe is the “creator god” that stood between the human race and a transcendent "God” that could only be reached through “gnosis”.

The Gnostic gospels, writings and teachings are all false and heresies because:

1. They do not offer a recounting of the life, teachings, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

2. They present bizarre statements by Christ.

3. They present bizarre scenes/events.

4. The titles imply important authors which two Biblical gospels were by “unknowns”.

5. “Scholars” put words into translations that do not exist in their gospel of Phillip and the “kiss”.

6. The dates of writings occur well after the events of Jesus which they dated around 350-400 A.D.

This is the message (good news) of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

1. Men are of sinful nature. (Romans 5:12)

2. God is MERCIFUL (forgives) and JUST (punishes sinners). (2 Thessalonians 1:7-10)

3. There is no FORGIVENESS without the shedding of Jesus’ blood. (Hebrews 9:22)

4. God gave His Son Jesus to die for all of humanity so there may be forgiveness. (John 3:16)

5. Salvation is by GRACE, not by good works. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

And we are saved by:

1. Repenting of our sins. (2 Peter 3:9)

2. Confessing and believing that Jesus is Lord, and that God has raised Him from the dead. (Romans 10:9)

3. Reading our Bible’s daily. (Matthew 4:4)

4. Following and keeping all of God’s commandments. (John 14:15)

5. And surrendering our lives to God. (Romans 12:2, James 4:7, Jeremiah 29:11, Proverbs 3:5-6, Galatians 2:20, 1 John 2:17)

Don’t go to any other man-made religion because they’re all heresies and influenced by Satan to confuse everyone, to turn people away from God, our Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Read God’s Word daily, because that is our daily bread, and before it becomes too late. We all have the chance right now to read the Word of God before the world passes away, but always remember that God’s Word will never pass away. (Matthew 24:35)

Turn to our Lord Jesus Christ today, because tomorrow is not promised at all for anyone. God Bless everyone!
