What a Good Shepherd Jesus is!
We are lost sheep until we seek out our Shepherd who can give us everlasting life. He is the bread of life, the way, the truth and the resurrection. Get to know Him today!
I wanted to take a break from what I’ve been posting to make a post about my Shepherd, my Lord and my Savior Jesus Christ. I want to give Him all the glory, all my praise, all my thanks and all my gratitude for the blessings and the good gifts that come from our Father in heaven. People who know Jesus as Lord, obey His Word and follow His commandments will fear no evil and will hear Jesus’ voice. Jesus came to seek the lost sheep and call all sinners to repentance.
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord. - Isaiah 54:17.
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of My hand. - John 10:27-28.
“If you love Me, keep My commandments. - John 14:15.
And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. - 2 Corinthians 12:9-10.
The short movie which I posted below shows that without a shepherd, sheep can get lost, and they are defenseless when a wolf attacks, but wolves are afraid of the shepherd. The wolf refers to Satan and the good Shepherd is Jesus Christ. Satan is fearful of the name of Jesus and we as sheep must call on Him to help us fight off Satan when he attacks us.
Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written, “‘You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only shall you serve.’” - Matthew 4:10.
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. - Ephesians 6:11.
For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. - Colossians 1:9-14.
There have been many shepherds in the Old Testament of the Bible, but Jesus Christ is the good Shepherd because He is the only human who is the Son of God, who can lay His life down for the sheep and be resurrected from the dead by His Father. I pray that people turn to Jesus, trust alone in Him, repent of their sins, believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior, obey God, follow His 10 Commandments and read His Word daily and that’s how people get God’s free gift of eternal salvation. God Bless everyone!
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. - Ephesians 2:8-9.
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him. - Hebrews 11:6.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 6:23.
Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. - Romans 10:9.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. - John 14:6.
