What the Cross meant to Christ.
Jesus going to die on the cross for us not only was it to sacrifice Himself for humanity, but Jesus wanted to give Satan that massive blow he needed to realize that he is not in control, God is.
I don’t know how people can just laugh, mock, say evil things, persecute and use others for their own gain especially those who believe in Jesus Christ. Keep mocking God all you want and laughing at Biblical Christians who truly believe and accept Jesus into their hearts, call the truth which is the word of God misinformation and keep blatantly sinning even after you’ve heard the gospel of God and about eternal life, but all you’re doing is stirring up God’s wrath. He shows us His love, mercy, grace and forgiveness. We are meant to show love and forgiveness to people because what other people have done to us is nothing compared to what we have done to God, so if God can forgive us every single time, we can forgive others too. God showed us His love by bringing His only begotten Son into the world, our Savior to be a sacrifice to die such a horrible death on the cross, crucified, beaten and whacked so many times on His back by the Romans and I’m sure they and the Pharisees along with the people who were saying to crucify Jesus laughed at Him, mocked Him and persecuted Him and He was without sin.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. - John 3:16-18.
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. - Galatians 2:20.
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. - Galatians 6:7.
Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." - Revelation 1:7-8
Even we as a society today could not bear to suffer the way Jesus did, but His apostles died the same way He did, and they would not have done that if Jesus wasn’t speaking the truth or if they hadn’t seen Him resurrected 3 days later. Speaking of this brings tears to my eyes because of the pain and suffering my Lord and Savior had to go through on that cross but dying on the cross meant so much more to Jesus than everyone else combined. He wanted to show His love for His Father and He wanted to land a crushing blow to Satan. So you know what, I will die for my faith in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ because He means so much to me and if I got mocked, persecuted, called names or if they told me I could live, but had to deny my faith in Jesus, I’d tell them, “my faith in Jesus is my top priority, nothing in this world and no one can or ever will stop me from believing in Jesus.” That would be it for me right then and there. I will take my cross every single day for Him because He came and sacrificed Himself for us all.
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. - 1 Corinthians 1:18.
So, if our Lord and Savior Jesus can defeat Satan, every single one of us can too. Call upon Jesus, confess your sins and tell Him you are a sinner, trust alone in Him, repent of your sins and follow God’s 10 commandments and He will forgive you of your sins, you will have His free gift of eternal life, and no one can ever take that away from you. Run to the Cross to Jesus’ feet if you’re ever feeling depressed, feeling anxious about things, feeling sad, you feel you want to cry and give Him your burdens and worries and He will wipe your tears away. He loves you and will always have His arms open for every single person who calls on His name. Only through Jesus Christ we can have eternal life and if others are telling you differently, they are wrong. God Bless everyone! I pray your faith journey grows and blossoms with no fear and only joy, peace and your abounding love in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Tomorrow is not promised for anyone. Amen!
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 6:23.
