When money becomes your "god", it's idolatry.
Satan takes over which leads to people going down that deep evil path of many sins, doing things that'll be very unethical and immoral. I pray that You help them, King Jesus.
People who love money so much will do whatever it takes to get it, whether it’s:
Stealing of any kind, either from a bank, from a man’s wallet/woman’s purse or from a gas station/convenient store.
Lying.
Expecting a handout and not wanting to go out and work.
Asking for a raise, then getting angry when they get told “no.”
Doing the bare minimum at a job and then criticizing those of us who want to earn our money.
Gamble their paychecks when they get it, on lottery tickets so they can hit the jackpot or go to casinos, get mad when they use it all and don’t get any of that money back.
For some people, money is a symbol of success and achievement, so they can be prideful.
That they can post on Facebook to boast and show off their luxurious vehicles, where they went on vacation or which place they traveled to and show pictures of what massive meals they’ve eaten.
Wanting to get praise and recognition from “friends” and/or family members either on Facebook or out in public showing them what good deeds he/she has done for the day, the week or the month.
Scamming people to get money, either from the phone or from false teachers who use the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to scam gullible people who want “blessings” from YHWH to buy mansions, jets or expensive vehicles.
Rather than focusing on the things that matter which are:
Spending time with family that truly care.
Reading God’s Word written in the Bible daily.
Getting to know YHWH, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
Being humble and content with everything that we have and glorifying YHWH for everything He does for us.
And knowing that death is approaching and there are 1 of two places where each of us will end up. Heaven or hell, so it’s time to get prepared right now before time runs out.
Then life will come to an end, people who have rejected Jesus will say to Him “I don’t want to die, please give me more time, I’ll do better” you’ll be standing in front of Him for your judgment, and realizing that throughout your life, you prioritized wealth, and material possessions over reading the Bible daily, that you could’ve had a personal relationship with our King of Kings and Lord of Lords Jesus Christ and you could’ve gotten started preparing for eternity in heaven, but you’re with Jesus and can’t go back.
If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. - Colossians 3:1-7.
But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! - 2 Timothy 3:1-5.
Loving money too much can lead down a dark path to many other sins, but loving YHWH, Jesus Christ, and God’s Holy Spirit first, then family members, friends and our neighbor as ourselves second will cover a multitude of sins. If anyone reads this post, just know that you still have time to turn to Jesus Christ before it’s too late. He will judge every single one of us based on the life that we have lived whether we have surrendered our lives to YHWH or rejected Him and followed Satan. Repent of your sins, confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, trust in Jesus, believe in Him and have faith in Him, surrender your lives to God, follow His 10 commandments and believe in the gospel. Turn to Jesus Christ today, because tomorrow is not promised for anyone. God Bless everyone!
And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead. - Acts 10:42.
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. - 2 Peter 3:9.
